While we are still on the topic of the amazing benefits of Turmeric... you can now create gummies... more than a snack it's rather a natural pain reliever!
Remedie 1 square when you are in pain.

It is especially recommended for joint pain, back pains as it can help to quickly reduce the pain.
Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant, potent anti-inflammatory, and a osteoarthritis pain reliever. This orange colored spice, related to the ginger family, has been used for centuries by Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to clear infections and inflammations on the inside and outside of the body. It is a powerful root with numerous health benefits. Try to include it into your diet as much as you can!
Final Notes: these gummies are not meant to be a dessert, but rather a healing food. Before adding the gelatin powder, check the liquid and adjust the amount of honey to your taste.
You can find it in its natural form, as a root, or ground. The roots are available at your near by Fresh Market, ground you can find it at SLIMher in NutriSLIM Health Corner.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional - see note below)
- 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder or replace by 6grs of Agar-Agar
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine water, turmeric, honey, and coconut oil. Heat on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Check sweetness and adjust to taste.
Remove from the heat and sprinkle gelatin powder over warm liquid.
Whisk vigorously for about 1 minute, ensuring gelatin powder is completely dissolved.
Pour into a dish like a long and wild tupperware and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until gelatin is firm and you can cut it into small portions with a knife.
Store in an airtight container. Will keep up to 7 days in the refrigerator.
Notes:
The coconut oil is optional in this recipe. It is used to enhance the absorption of the turmeric powder but may create a thin white layer on the surface of the gummies. Skip the coconut oil if you prefer your gummies as shown in the picture!
