With summer just around the corner, I am sure you've got brunches, BBQs, and get-togethers with friends and family all lined up! To help power through these tricky events, I’m sharing tips to keep you feeling your best and still enjoy during these events.

Dining Out, Parties and Get-Togethers!

Pick your treats! From bread, chips, wine, cocktails and dessert, there’s never a shortage of indulgent options to choose from. Forgoing all the goodies isn’t necessary. Think about what you really want and then fully enjoy a little bit of it. The key here is avoiding having bread, drinks and dessert, all together. what always saves me, is that where ever I get invite I always bring veggies sticks (cauliflowers, carrots, celery, cucumber) And I always bring a dips like hummus or Quacamole or Tzaziki.... and guess what since it's the only thing on the table, well it never last long cause everyone are enjoying those yummy crunchy bites!
Wait, no dessert? It’s totally A-okay to indulge in something you really want once in a while. but like I say, ONCE IN A WHILE!! After all, that’s why you work so hard! This being said, if you find yourself with tons of opportunities to have dessert on front of you — pick one night to share dessert with a friend, Yes SHARE!! Not the entire one for yourself. Or better like me, after bringing the veggies, make a fruits salads. If in restaurant, try to make fruity choices to satisfy sweet cravings after dinner!.
Start with greens: Whether you’re at a BBQ or restaurant, beginning meals with veggies is a must habit! This ensures your body to get some green nutrients and also takes the edge off your appetite. Load up on crudités at party or order a starter salad at a restaurant. Having a salad in front of you is also fab if everyone is enjoying fried appetizers and bread. Never feel boring about the choices you make and it's about what you put in your plate!!!!
Oh and you know to get the dressing on the side, right? We like to ask for olive oil and balsamic for a simpler way to jazz up greens, avoid the creamy dressing as much as it's possible.
Swap the starches: This is a good rule of thumb at any restaurant or get-together. Skip the pasta, potatoes and white rice options as much as you can. If you’re dining out, simply ask for veggies or greens instead… don’t be shy! Your metabolism and summer abs will thank you!
Split Dishes: We all know portions at restaurants can be more than your gorgeous body needs, so even when ordering healthier options, split your meal with a friend. If there’s no one to split with, you can ask for a take away box to bring back home.
