For the past year, I’ve have been seeing on the differents trainers and health blogs that I follow on internet in Europe and in the US, talking about KOMBUCHA and all its benefits… !! Hum… Ok! But What the Heck is Kombucha? So I’ve made my researches and here is what I found: What is kombucha? Kombucha is a fermented tea that is widely consumed for its health benefits. The fermentation process requires a SCOBY, a “symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.” SCOBYs are also sometimes referred to as “mothers” (since they reproduce with each batch of kombucha brewed) or “mushrooms” (because of their appearance). Reading this make me laugh cause it reminds me of the time back at School as a teenager we were having something of that sort "mother" Like a pet at home in a bowl to take care and to pass around... I can't remember why, maybe something like making a wish, like a lucky charm... I'll have to ask my mum about to know if she remembers...Does anyone know what i'm talking about? Kombucha is a living health drink made by fermenting tea and sugar with the Kombucha culture. The result can taste like something between sparkling apple cider and champagne, depending on what kind of tea you use. Kombucha originates from Northeast China, in 221 BC during the Tsin Dynasty. It was known as “The Tea of Immortality”.It traveled to Russia before making its way to Germany, followed by the rest of Europe and eventually, the United States. It houses a great deal of health benefits, and while every individual reacts to it differently, the general consensus is it makes you feel great.
