The key components to losing weight are building muscle and maintaining a healthy diet, and your diet is highly important.

Truth: Not exactly, it's more complicate than that.

Yes, one pound of muscle weighs the same as one pound of fat.

The difference is body composition – muscle is smaller and the more muscle you have, the less space you take up.

Myth 4: I Need to Lose Weight Right Here (Insert Body Part)

Working a muscle does not make you lose fat in that area. Have you noticed that when you gain weight you gain it in certain areas? We all store fat differently and the way we store it is determined by our genetics. Work your whole body, not only certain areas!
